Meredith Turits lives, writes, and defends the Oxford comma in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Professionally, she specalizes in developing brand identity and digital content and marketing strategies for scale, plus launching new ventures into the marketplace. With experience across several areas including media, technology, and CPG, she has worked as an editorial director, general manager, digital strategist, business director, product manager, and more.
Meredith currently works as a strategy consultant for her own LLC, helping brands with digital content, marketing, and business strategy. She has also been the founding editorial director and GM of Extra Crispy, a digital pure-play property within The Foundry at Time Inc.; a senior stragegist at Time Inc.; the founding senior editor of media startup Bustle.com, now Bustle Media Group; and associate online editor at Glamour.com, where she launched the news and politics vertical during the 2012 presidental election.
Her culture writing and fiction has appeared in publications including Vanity Fair, ELLE, the New Republic, The Paris Review Daily, Rolling Stone, and more.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of Tufts University, where she studied Philosophy, concentrating in cognitive neuroscience, language, and linguistics. She earned a minor in Communications and Media Studies through Tufts and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
